I think it ended up being a fun peek into what this tour really was like because it was so small and I know a lot of people wouldn’t be able to get into the show. I didn’t do, sort of intentionally, a lot of behind the scenes stuff even though as a fan of someone else I’m curious to see that, but I really wanted to capture the show itself. SB: I really wanted to keep this DVD basically feeling like as if you were if at the show. Do you have any behind the scenes footage that will be on there? JJ: We’re sure that all of your fans are very excited for the release of the Brave Enough Tour Blu-ray/DVD. It’s great to see the shows growing and having more and more people want to be there, but I do think I can see myself playing intimate venues for the rest of my life. But, I have to say it’s been really fun to stretch right now and to be in bigger venues, play to thousands of people, and kind of challenge myself because that’s not the normal venue I’m really used to. I think the venues that will make sense for me forever are the intimate ones. SB: It’s a really hard question to answer because they’re so different. JJ: On the Brave Enough Tour you played a bunch of tiny and intimate shows and then on the Blessed Unrest Tour you played a bunch of big theaters. And then on other nights it was just like “Chasing the Sun” or “Eden.” But I do have to say that playing “Brave” every night was super, super fun because it is just really connecting with the audience right now and people are singing along.

We did a song on the record called “December” a handful of times and that was really satisfying to me as well. I think some nights I loved really digging into the ballads, singing a song like “Manhattan” was really satisfying. To be honest, it sort of changed from night to night. What was your favorite song to perform each night?
